4/18/2023 0 Comments Venom the moviedesktop![]() The figure is based on the design depicted in the 2018 film, which had not received any Legends figures during its original run. Released as part of Hasbro's Marvel Legends: Infinite Series line, the cinematic incarnation of Venom was included in the 2020 Venompool Series, a set of Venom themed characters originally intended to tie into the theatrical release of Venom: Let There Be Carnage before the Covid-19 Pandemic delayed the film into the following year too late to change the planned schedule for figures. The figure received a separate release outside of the Blu-Ray box set, still exclusively at Walmart stores through a promotion in which the stores sold a series of cards featuring Vudu digital film codes the figure was resold with the Vudu code and no Blu-Ray with a slightly different carback to reflect that it would no longer be sold in a large box. The figure includes two original accessories - swappable arms that are molded into far more dynamic shape-shifter weapons, with the left arm transforming into a bunch of Symbiotic goo while the right arm is formed up into a sickle-like arm-blade. The figure features the classic five points of articulation with swivels at the shoulders, hips and neck. The figure is an original mold standing roughly 5" in scale and inspired by the style of Marvel Super Heroes: Secret Wars figures, but is based on the 2018 Venom film design, lacking the classic white spider logo on his chest. Released exclusively at Walmart retail stores, the "Retro Action Figure" Venom was included in a special Blu-Ray package alongside the film.
